When I read the preamble my first thought was Bayern München, but it seems I got it wrong by about 300km!

Many thanks Daniel .Have a nice holiday.
Certainly was interesting and I did exactly the same Ironie .You learn something new every day. Never heard of them and eventually got the city but still puzzled as to the team ,so asked Mr S who wouldn't know one end of a cryptic crossword from the other and he knew straight away.
