Help please - I don't understand this answer: grammararian's state of mind - I have -o-d and the clue has been answered as "mood" can somebody explain

Mood- state of mind, also another word for tense which a grammarian uses.
Mood is a grammatical term applying to verbs - i.e. indicative or subjunctive.

Thank you so much - you are obviously brighter than I am!!
I doubt if I am brighter than you but a report I had to write earlier this year made reference to the correct use of verbs in various tenses and moods.
