Some errors in puzzle today ie 6D, no 7D and no clue for 9D

so any help with 6D, 5D 7A would be appreciated, thanks.

eternalise was thought to be one answer (even though the pattern was given as 4,3 and the clue suggested 'pair off')

Redsokk just got around to pitcher wits and was scratching my head for a while and then remembered your post. Shows what an idiot I am, I do it everyday and never realised that was what it was called!! I just look at the grid and do it - is that tunnel vision do you think? Or just idiocy
From the pictorial clue for 9d, shown as 7d, I've put "Eating Up".

Where do you get the N from Danny?
E + ding ( noise from triangle being hit) + up (arrow pointing up)
As I said, where do you get the N from to form "ending"?

As I read the pictorial clue it's E + Ting + Up.
I see what you mean but equally where do you get the a from.? This puzzle has been a cockup .

I agree the puzzle was a cock up. No doubt, on Monday, The Mail will blame a production error. That's assuming they refer to it at all.
