8 down. Clue: Alpine cheese used for fondue, croquet-monsieur and gratin (7). I have; ?R?O?R?. I thought I may have made a mistake with the O as GRUYERE would then have fitted but I'm sure the O is correct. Help please.

Where does the O come from? Gruyere is correct.

From 15 across. Clue Where's ------; series of illustrated books for children created by Martin Handford based on his red-and-white jumper-bearing character (5). I have: W?L?? I thought WALDO hence the O.
