I can't believe the Times' April Fool's day spoof is actually the cryptic crossword. Half the clues fit the grid, the others don't. Spoof anything else you like, Crossword Editor, but hands off the crossword. That's sacred.

Your paper must be printed wrong. Mine's OK.
All my Across clues are correct, but the Down clues are printed incorrectly. I've checked with the on-line version. Nasty mean trick, if it's deliberate, and has marred Tuesday!
Someone has posted what they think are the right clues on another site, would you like me to C&P them ??
I can't remember which year it was but recently the Times ran an April Fools spoof on the crossword where the answers to the Monday edition were the same as the previous Saturday's Prize Crossword, only with different clues.
Something similar happened with the Times' new "easy" cryptic a few weeks ago; the printed grid bore no relationship to the clues. In that case, the next day's issue carried an apology (for a "technical problem" IMS). I was expecting something similar for this case - but nothing. In fact, the following issue had a solution grid, as if no problem had existed! The across clues made sense, the down clues... maybe modern Times staff only make an effort for the digital product.
