Well with Moyes spending all summer trying to buy Leighton Baines to play at left back that is hardly a glowing endorsement of his liking for Evra.

What they need is a right back with them forever swapping between Raphael, Smalling, and Jones.

They need a couple of midfielders as well, and a centre half to replace Ferdinand who is coming to the end of his career.

In fact it seems rather silly to try to go out and spend millions on a 29 year old left back (when you have already got a good left back) when you are so deficient in other areas.

Man U current league position shows the difference between a great manager (Ferguson) and just a "good one" (Moyes).

The fact Moyes did not will one single competition in 11 years with Everton should have sent alarms bells ringing at Man Utd.

This is even worse when you consider Wigan and Swansea won the two cups last years, something Moyes could not do in 11 years with fairly good Everton teams.

Moyes will go at the end of the season.
Watching a master tactition as Moyes systematically destroying Man United is absolutely heart wrenching. I agree with a lot of what you've said there VHG,
United are lacking in certain positions but Moyes is a nob-head he could have changed so many things on Saturday...

When does Evra's current contract run out?
Evra's past his best so he's jumping before he's pushed
Did he get a "wonderful" goal against the wonderful Spurs

This has been the case for the past 4 seasons so it is rather harsh to blame Moyes.

Ferguson got out at the right time.

Yes Man Utd were champions last season, but only because of the moderate standard of the Premier League.
Manchester United would have done well to have come 3 rd in La Liga last season.

i am not a Man U supporter or a fan of Moyes, but give him a chance.
Love the heart-wrenching from Manure fans! Payback for years of referee bullying, dodgy decisions, Fergie-time, media love-ins, etc, the list goes on. Long may the decline continue!
Moyes is stuck with Ferguson's team. As would anyone else have been.
Suggesting he will only last one season seems bizarre.
Where would Utd be now if they'd adopted the same short-termist approach 27 years ago?
seems odd to me that a team that ran away with the premiership a few months ago needs three or four new players to compete
As well as 3 or 4 new players, they've lost 6 or 7 referees!

Oh well, revenge is a dish best served cold
Having re-read this thread perhaps I was a little too harsh on Moyes, I still think give the man a chance after all... Europe is looking fine and he did knock out a "Big" club in the league cup.
Fergie's book out soon -didn't anyone think to take the keys off him when he retired?
