Many thanks, have a good day
P reserve
Morning all.

27a, is an anagram of "our menus" - enormous, so 16d cannot be tamarind, sorry! I am also stuck on this clue, having the letters T_M_R_E_ so far.
Any help on this last clue would be most welcome, thanks.
27A nUMEROUS
River - Tamar
indus mainly- ind
So??????????
27a.Numerous
16d.Tamar ind(us)
Think 27a is numerous rather than enormous (fits in then with tamarind)
apart from anything else enormous isn't an anagram of our menus
Hello again,

I have just re-examined clues 16d & 27a. The explanation and solution of "tamarind" seems correct; as does the solution to 27a "enormous", although the two conflict with each other??? I wonder if the Telegraph have made a boo boo!!
are you reading the answers?
Many apologies, I have had a senior moment and have been seeing things!!!!
No Bert, (see above), it's 'numerous", not 'enormous'.
sorry everyone, not my usual attention to detail
