Welcome to Title Builder Beta.

This small piece of kit is designed to make building your Quiz, Crossword or Puzzle question more effective. It should make finding your question easier for others and, the easier it is to find, the more likely someone is to answer it!

To build an easy to find question title simply select the paper and quiz, enter the quiz number if relevant and fill in the Publication Date. Once you’re happy click “Build Title” and the information should populate the Title field. Fill in the final required details of your question as you normally would, and click submit.

As this is a Beta we only have a limited number of papers and quizzes listed. If you think your favourite Quiz, Crossword or Puzzle should be listed here don’t hesitate to contact us.

Remember: You do not have to use the title builder - simply enter the title and question as you normally would and click submit!

I've had a few weeks off over the summer - and my reintroduction via 4261 has made me a bit grumpy.

Please can some of the usual suspects suggest their choice of recent Listeners (from the range 4247 - 4260) to restore my joie de vivre?

4249, 4250, 4252, 4254, 4257 are probably my favourites, though they are mostly a good bunch. If you had to pick just the one, then probably go for 4252 Carte Blanche by Lavatch -- the toughest by far, but with a very nice finish.

I would add 4258, 4259 and 4260 to Jim's list. They all have an endgame that is far more clearly signalled than is the case with 4261. 4260 is, admittedly, tough but the grid is such a wonderful feat of engineering that I'd put it top of my list. It must be a candidate for puzzle of the year.
