1st Brit to win a French GP race for 30 years - NOT what I put in the question.
Good race by him. Shame the race didn't go the full distance, although I don't think it would have affected the final result.

You're right, he seemed to be comfortable at the front. Strange how some riders at the front came off, particularly the synchronised pair from the same team.
I had to miss it to watch the Cricket, but I've just read it on the Moto GP website.

If I remember rightly, his win at Donny in 2008 was in conditions that would have had Noah in tears! It's been on the cards for a while and it's a fantastic achievement, and caps a great weekend for English (Ish - Tai Woffinden - who won his first Speedway GP trophy last night - lived the first six years of his life in Australia) sport.
