Whilst researching the history of my local area, Newbarns in Barrow in Furness, I was informed that in one of Dorothy Wordsworth`s diaries there is mention of her visiting a local family, the Robinsons, at their home in the village of Newbarns. Although I have read The Grasmere Journals and searched the internet I can find no reference to such a visit or any reference to the Robinson family or Newbarns. I would be most grateful if anyone with more knowledge of Dorothy Wordsworth`s dairies and letters could possibly inform me if the Robinson family or Newbarns is mentioned in any of her writings.
Thank you.
