two clues confusing me today. Slight contribution from muggins? Ultimately (6) I have ?n???t. thought it might be INSULT though can't see why. The crossword setter is TIM MOOREY. In case the muggins is him.

Also, Profligate knight in French port (5). R???N tjhinking ROUEN but can't see the word play again!
