What is the drift of 4d?
Hi
4d is a straightforward clue (nothing literary) with the wordplay first and definition last two words.

2Yes. Ravelled or raveled

Geoff
4D - hierurgy. Hier (German for here), UR (ancient city) and gy - extremes of gladly.
OED and chambers give the double l for ravelled. I am happy with them as authorities
I got onto friends at the OED. Geoff, look up the latest edition online for l's in ravel(l)ed.
