how come some of the text messages sent on this phone are blue and some green? just wondered tia

They are blue if you have iMessage switched on. It is a text service sent over wifi/3g. If the recipient hasn't got these switched on then the text won't go through. I switched iMessage off on my phone, too much hassle.

I think there is a setting in iMessage to send as a text message if iMessage does not get through.
