When you look in the mirror what do you see ,for many years I would not look in to a mirror I would avoid them at all costs,it became an obsession with me I could never understand that we all age at the same time ,then we moved to a little village and really lost contact with almost all the people I had known, gradually I started to look into the mirror at home and I felt ok ,I was surprised how large I had become then I started to meet with people I had not seen for 20 years, suddenly It really hit me how we age in so many different ways .some people have not changed very much others I did not recognise others seemed as if they had gone to the Bar for some drinks, others had changed so much ,It must have been incredible when people who joined up to fight in the 1st or 2nd World War came home they had been away for years fighting.
Do you have any thoughts on this (BTW i am male.)

My mother.................
Someone who is ageing - and I hate it!
I am female and avoid mirrors at all costs, but not because of age.
Bits id like to change and bits im ok with :) xx
A total stranger!
I have seen photos of tinkerbell and compared to me she is Kate Moss!
I see George Clooney, it's just a shame no one else does. ☺
Grow old gracefully - some days I'm fine, other days I look like an old lady. My mum is still alive and once she goes I will be the oldest in my family. That is scary, but also a big responsibility.
What do I see? 'Still getting away with it...'
No major complaints, everything's the right way up and the spots have declined dramatically with age.
Like you, I went through a phase when I could not look in mirrors, or smile - between the ages of about 12 and 15, related to a breakdown.
An OLDER version of my dad.....I'm 15 years older than he was when he died.....mind you, he was a real handsome old devil. :-))
My dad, minus the moustache and with boobs.
lol @traci.....if I was your dad it would only be the moustache :-)
me of course....
I don't know why people age differently. Perhaps it's something to do with our mindset and the way we take care of ourselves. I went to a school reunion a while back - and didn't recognise many of my old school friends at all. They had changed so much I had to look at their name badges to find out who they were. They all recognised me instantly though and said I hadn't changed at all. I'm sure that's not entirely true - but nevertheless I was quite pleased to hear it.
We fellers don't age in a mo. We just get to look more distinguished! (puts on hard hat, hides in cupboard).
Simple answer In a Mo, if you don't want the truth, do not look in the mirror, Simple, we cannot help ageing.
Not sure you're right there TWR. If you live a clean, active and abstemious life it slows the ravages of age down- until you die of boredom.
Before you go out on the town Seadog you look at your make up / or whatever to see if you have scrubbed up well do you agree? look n the mirror the following morning, have I to say anymore?
Right on mate!
What's your flags connection?
