Welcome to Title Builder Beta.

This small piece of kit is designed to make building your Quiz, Crossword or Puzzle question more effective. It should make finding your question easier for others and, the easier it is to find, the more likely someone is to answer it!

To build an easy to find question title simply select the paper and quiz, enter the quiz number if relevant and fill in the Publication Date. Once you’re happy click “Build Title” and the information should populate the Title field. Fill in the final required details of your question as you normally would, and click submit.

As this is a Beta we only have a limited number of papers and quizzes listed. If you think your favourite Quiz, Crossword or Puzzle should be listed here don’t hesitate to contact us.

Remember: You do not have to use the title builder - simply enter the title and question as you normally would and click submit!

What is a "listener setter" though? I see why it si the answer but might be being a bit thick: how does it fit with the rest of the clue?

i must admit to having got my newspapers mixed up - The Listener is a crossword that appears in the Times on a Saturday and I thought that it was in the Indie. But it is quite well known so they might refer to it even though it is in another paper.

I must admit that it is a bit of an odd answer, but it does fit the subsidiary as well as the general sense of the whole clue.

Voulez-vous

Nimrod, who set this, also sets for The Listener. Makes it clearer, I think, but a little obscure for many people. Strange thing to put in a crossword, I think. Crosswords should not be about the setter. I would call "foul" on this clue.
