Stick on several this week. 16d: "Poles should start with university, unlike Sir Percy Blakeney (8) ?n?o?g?? This is particuarly frustrating for me as I have loved the Scarlet Pimpernel stories for a long time, but just can't see the answer here.
28a: "Hurry away from soaring bird, getting over trouble (8,2) ??g???i|?i?
21d: "One good in parts, perhaps, taps foodstuff (6) ?t?r??
Grateful for any help with any of these.

Thanks everyone for your answers. I thought of starch but couldn't see how the CH fitted in with the clue at all? I think I will have to go with that though.
