Well if this country's such a dump and the antipodes are paradise on Earth as we are constantly being told by the liberal elite, why then does Australia have such a shortage of poms? http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/6972076.stm So short in fact they've lowered the requirements to an English test that even chavs can pass. Are they in danger of filling their land with Wayne and Waynetta Slob types? Would you go and live there?

I think the problem is that so many Brits are scared of spiders.

Those who are not are scared of snakes and scorpions and those not scared of those are scared of Kangaroos, sharks and Abos.

The ones left do not like too much heat which leaves a tiny percentage of which includes criminals, handicapped and the too infirm, who are refused entry.

Which liberal elite is that Loosehead?

You sure it's not just you British liberals are telling how wonderful Australia is?

I think there's a bit of a history of Brits heading out there and then scampering back because they don't make as much money as they did back home or they miss their family or it's too hot or there are too many poisonous kangeroos or whatever - hence the whinging pom

Anyway you sure you've got the right story here? They're not making it easire to pass an English test, they're giving extra points to people who can pass one!
Yabbut, could all these British kids with all their A* grades pass this test?!
I wouldn't live there - it's full of Australians
I have spoke to numerous Aussies and yet to find one who denegrates his country. Also the few who arrive in the UK can't wait to get home. A number of reasons given for this:

1. climate
2. health service superior in Australia
3. Pay higher
4. better working conditions
5. Less tax
6. Standard of living better as fewer handouts to scroungers.

And which liberal elite is one referring to?

Would this be the hand-wringing, bleeding-heart, yoghurt-knitting liberals (oft slagged off on these pages), that are "constantly" slagging off this country?

Or would this be the anti-immigrant, what-is-this-country-coming-to, dole-scroungers-and-paedophiles hang-'em-high-PC-gone-mad brigade liberal elite? You know, the ones that say they can't wait to get out of the country?

And is this elite so liberal that they can't stand the thought of other [ plebs / oiks / chavs / pikies / common folk ] enjoying the same oh-so-liberal ideals as them?
I believe that the shortage of poms is linked directly to the increase of bar staff in England....

Ahem... Sorry.

My sister has been dating an auzzie for some time now. He fits in very well with the right whingers in this country. The reasons he would like to return to Auzzieland is he believes that the way of life is easier and more fun over there.

One of my best mates just married an auzzie and they're going back because her family is sick and for the same reasons I've given above.

I don't think I would go and live there but that is largely to do with the fact that I'd miss my friends and family far too much and I'm not convinced that the climate could make up for that. It cetainly wouldn't make my life easier to leave them. That said, no one's made me an offer I can't refuse that involves emigrating.

I'm also scared of spiders.
Ahem.. ' a member of her family'... I'm sure the rest are fine and did not mean to imply they were deviants of some sort.
many Brits (note, I did not say all) cannot survive in the real world of no benefits/ state handouts etc etc.......... I lived in South Africa for forty years and knew many brits who arrived and couldnt cut it. They would find themselves unemployed at some stage and moan all the time instead of getting off their butts and doing something. The state does not wait on you hand and fot there! Nothing is free in South Africa, even schooling has to be paid for. Its hard work to survive and make a living. I listen all the time here to people moaning about public transport as an example, compared to many countries it is great. You are just a bunch of ungrateful spoilt brats who do not realise how good you have it until you lose it! Why are we here? Because we worked hard and have skills your country needs at present.
This (The UK) is a dying country and if I were a lot younger than I am, I would be gone without a backward glance - not necessarily to Australia though as I can think of more attractive places.
I am someone who has worked all my life, fought for, and have seen the decline of this country to the hollow shell that it now is. My advice to any young person with anything about them is to get out whilst you are young enough.
