i am 15 and i want to make debit card from hsbc and i dont have my passport for the proof cos its in the home office and i dont know what else i can use, can i even use anything else, can i use my oyster card? because like the school had to stamp on the application of the oystercard meaning the school have seen my passport? meaning that how i got my oystercard? meaning that my oyster card is another of my ID?

I don't think you are old enough to have a debit card. To have a debit card you have to have a bank account with money in it, and some sort of regular income, to have a job. It says here that before you can open an HSBC bank account you have to guarantee to pay in at least £500 a month. http://www.hsbc.co.uk...nt-benefits?WT.srch=1
You need to check with your local branch of HSBC if there is some student account you can open, and what ID they will need from you. They won't give you a card unless you have money in the bank, and from your earlier posts you are thinking of leaving home when you are 16 - they will want you to have a permanent address too, as they run credit checks on everyone before they issue any sort of debit or credit cards.

OK - have you looked at their website? From what I can see here you are not eligible, sorry - you have to be 17 and you have to be on a qualifying course at University. It's not for students at school. http://www.hsbc.co.uk...t-started#eligibility
At your age you can get a Mymoney account https://www.hsbc.co.u...plyPage_Under18s_Link but for that (as under 17 years old) you can get a cashcard with your parents' permission, but you can't get any sort of overdraft, you can only take out the money you have in your account.

That makes quite a difference, a different bank completely! I have had a look at it - the same applies re needing to have money in the bank obviously. They ask for two forms of ID, but I can't see anywhere that they list the ID which will count - your birth certificate and passport would be the obvious ones, but does your Oyster card have your photo on it? or do you have a student card with ID on, or any club membership cards, or anything similar which has a photo on it? I think your best bet really would be to go into your local branch and just ask at the desk, what your options are - some people do not have a passport in the first place, but adults can usually take other things like gas bills showing a permanent home address.

Two forms of ID, such as passport or birth certificate, as well as proof of the parents identity and address are required.
Over 16's don't need to be accompanied by a parent but need to bring in two forms of ID and proof of their address.
