Why always such hysteria? Is there no-one to teach balance, measure, reason, perspective? Let's not forget this is the decision of one eccentric pastor with a congregation of only 50 people. He is not the spokesperson for Christianity, America, the Western World, or any such thing. Yet whole nations are up in arms, burning flags, screaming blue murder, threatening to kill on a mass scale, etc, etc. So would it be like this the other way round? I don't think so - not in the slightest. Do you?

I'd obviously turn the other cheek and pray for his soul......
More to the point.......how would Muslims react if an unimportant Muslim preacher (if there is such a thing) threatened to burn the Bible.

My opinion....there wouldn´t be a "whimper" from them.
Nope.... I would think 'oh dear, what a silly person I hope God forgives him'

(presuming it's a him because Muslim women tend not to be able to think for themselves. These types of Muslims anyway)
chirpy, sorry to but in, sqad, hi, saw this morning that you are a retired surgeon. what medical school did you go to ?
you'd get your everyday right wing christian frothing at the mouth, but generally most people will probably be like, yeah, whatever trevor.
annie.....where did you see that.....I dont like it advertising.

The London Hospital..............now the Royal London Hospital.
did you ever work in st.marys
Anne...why don't you ask a question in CB?
No......St Mary`s Paddington I assume. Played them at Rugby and hockey many times though ? Did part of my finals at Mary`s

Did you work there?
not surprising really as it is well known that the root of all evil is religion generally. I do not distinguish among which set of fairy tales, all bad, they should burn a pile of all the religious books, bible included.
There would be no reaction maybe a protest from the nearest christian cleric.

However Pastor Terry Jones has done the world a favour, if anyone actualy thought that there were any none hysterical, moderate muslims, that notion has now been swept away.

The world wide hysterical reaction, proves the religion of peace speaks with one voice.

God help us all.

ummm, you are right,it was very bad manners of me, (im serious ) sorry
As I have said in a previous post about this story, the books are only pieces of paper with words printed on them.

Hes not burning down a Mosque for Gods sake, (or should that be Alla) whats the fuss about?
trt exactly that is the way that any rational human being would and should react.

Voice disgust and move on leaving him to go back to being the non-entity he is.

This hysteria proves beyond doubt that the only moderate Muslims are those that don't follow the Koran.
"how would Christians react if an unimportant Muslim preacher threatened to burn The Bible?"

you'd probably get more righteous idignation from those that dont give a sh1t about the bible but just don't like muslims.
they burn effigies of our leaders and our flags so why not burn the koran?????
//books are only pieces of paper with words printed on them//

And a war memorial is only a bit of old stone with words on that - why then the fus about that woman urinating on it?
