I know it's all for a good cause, but what did you make of the James Corden / David Beckham sketch? Personally, I didn't think it was funny - just weird - and I didn't 'get' it.

Already did methyl x
I don't think you got the joke methyl. It was all set up and filmed at last year's Sports Personality of the Year Awards. The famous faces were "keeping" their faces straight.
A worthy cause.
David Beckham and James Corden - absolutely brilliant!! What a good sport David Beckham is. No-one was offended at the awards - it was all good - all for a great cause!! Lighten up!!

It was making fun of David being a gay icon!!

Brilliant stuff, especially the Becks bit - I thoroughly enjoyed it.
Saw JC on Jonathan Ross - he said where other personalities gave them maybe 20mins to an hour to film the sketches, DB gave about a day and a half free of charge - that is truly in the spirit of the cause. What they produce from that is pretty irrelevant. Personally, I thought it was great.
it wasnt making fun of him being a gay icon. It was just a sketch prentending he trained them all. I foun it hilarious and good on beckham
That peeing marathon woman, whose name I forget, was not just keeping a straight face.
She was seriously not amused.

I don't find him funny either.
they were all in on it, if you watched the making of it later you'd have seen they were all up for it
You mean Paula Radcliffe
although it was all scripted and I dont find him funny in other things. I remember him when he was in hollyoaks
Yeah, that's her.
James Corden is a here-today-gone-tomorrow would-be comic (and I use the word quite wrongly) who is funny in his own mind. In a year he will be forgotten like the wallpaper that used to hang in your living room but has now vanished without trace. No malice intended, just my opinion.
