I was moving out as I left my job but then I decided to stay. In the time between me deciding to leave and then deciding to stay my landlady got a new lodger. So now I am in the spare room which is a single room and the new lodger has moved into my old double room.

Got a few issues bothering me: -

1. I don't know if I should ask for a rent decrease or not.

2. Part of me wonders if I should have fought to keep my double room a bit more rather than just saying I would move into spare single room but I felt guilty for being indecisive and upsetting the applecart kinda.

The other thing is the new girl thats moved in seems lovely but she is much more confident and chatty than me and she is being herself. Thats what I aspire to be and I have been trying to do this for ages so now I feel a bit sort of deflated that someone who is 1 year younger than me has so much more confidence, social skills, better communication skills than me and is able to be herself.

I want to be like that!!!!

I had mushroom omelette for breakfast :-)
Make friends with her Karma. Some people act confident but feel the same as you under their skin.

I'm so crap though. I don't know what to say to her - I just end up standing around looking stupid and then I just go up to my room to be alone as I can't face the embarassment. She probs thinks I'm well boring and she's be right but I dunno whats the matter with me. Lack of communication or social skills or something. I've kind of run away from social situations all my life therefore that means I have very little experience of how to interact with people if ya know what I mean.

She's the new girl and she has been more confident today than I have been in the whole four years I have lived in this house.
That's how you feel inside not how people view you. I'm very much like that but people seem to think I'm really confident. I'm not..!!! I'm confident in myself as a person and that will get me through. You need to like yourself a bit more.

Yeah I do need to and I hope how I feel isn't coming across to everyone. If she thinks I'm confident when I'm not that will do but I still wish I didn't feel like this. I think I'm just at the stage in life where I'm 22 don't really know who I am and everything just seems difficult.

I need to get a social life as I reckon a lot of it is that I just haven't had the chance to practise etc. But also as not much happening in my life not much topics of conversation either. Or is that it cus actually even when I do have things to say I just can't find the words to explain it sometimes or I get a mental block.

Its bloody frustrating!!

Start my new job on Monday - don't want to come across bad in that either.

I'll keep trying xxx

I'm not that way inclined noknow :-)

I know she probs would sort of be the one pulling me into conversations I just get sick of being the one that has to be pulled out of myself. I just want to be the one who can take the lead and is the life and soul sorta thing. I should be helping her settle in but it seems like she is being more friendly and welcoming because she talks more. A lot more than me. Which isn't hard.

Anyways love y'all.

May got to bed now xxx

Karma...she could be a new friend who introduces you to new people. Look at it as fate...she may help to change your life.

How about trying to be honest with her....?? She might help you move to the next stage in your life.

Remember though...it's near on inpossible to change your personality so be honest and let people except you for who you are. The better you get to know people the more relaxed you will feel. It's just the first hurdles you need to get over...

Good luck with the new job.....a new door opening and all that :-)
