Is Evans the right chap to take over from Our Tel on Radio 2? It seems a lot of TOGS don't think so. Will they leave in droves? Will Evans destroy the most popular show on Radio? Important questions I'm sure you'll agree!

They're both good in their own right. May be time for a change? They can hit Chris if they don't like him with their handbags!!
What's TOGS stand for?

I like Wogan, I think he's really funny. I do also like Evans but not sure he'll be the ideal replacement...might be a bit extreme for some.
Terrys old girls or something like that?
Sorry, but I`m too darn old to be this darn young, either `Tel` stays or I go on to a local radio show.
lol...cheers.
Do you mind Sachs......Terry`s old GEEZERS if you don`t mind.......The very nerve, huh!!!
lol carlton!!!! Trust me!
Titter.
Handbags at dawn? ;0)
Titter ye not!
Ooo Sachs, You are awful, but you`re driving me up the wall. Bye
Whack!!!!
Whom ever replaces Wogan will have an uphill struggle, as is usually the case when an old cricketer leaves the crease.

Remember Jimmy Young, who refused to speak to his replacement Jeremy Vine, or the hard time Ken Bruce got when he stepped into the morning schedule?

I think Johnnie Walker would have been best, but maybe his health problems don't permit? They should have replaced Walker with Stuart Maconie when they had the chance, but now he has carved an excellentr niche with the boy Radcliffe, so they can't really afford to lose him from there.

As long as the BBC don't continue this habit of putting TV 'stars' into radio shows - Norton for Wright? Hardly!

Give it to Gloria Hunniford - give her something else to talk about apart from bereavement, which will give us all a flamin' rest!
personally I dont know what all the fuss is about........its the people who write into to TW's show that make the programme not TW himself.
Chris Evans in for the Togmeister......no..no..and thrice no.Going home he's great he'll pick you up after a hard day but first thing early morning he's too franetic.Mind you he would give that discussing piece of dog dirt over on Radio 1 a fight for the audience.
My vote goes to a broadcaster who joined Radio back in 1997.Hes usually on during the nightime hours but regularly steps into the daytime schedule when others are on holidays.Step forward Richard Allinson.
Chris Evans will bring in a new different younger audience.

Radio 2 will recover.

It is always the same when a presenter changes, or a TV or radio show move time slot.

Big fuss over nothing.
I read that Terry was on about £800,000 a year for doing the show.

I'd do it for half that.

;-)
But can Evans do the John voice??? I think not!
I was worried they were going to replace him with Steve Wright. Thank goodness they're not, I couldn't stand his howling along to songs first thing in the morning. I'll miss Terry but wish him all the best for a long and happy retirement and will give Chris the fair chance he deserves.
