I have stumbled across a page which shows folk as they are registering on AB and it shows their on screen name their e-mail address and their IP address.

Now, I am no computer hot-shot by any means so if I can do it there will be others able to do it too

It does not show the password so folk will not be able to log on as you.

Ma main concern is that folk's e-mail addresses are shown so you may want to consider changing them if you have any worries.

I will be bringing this to the attention of the Technical Team too

I wouldn't be wanting ma e-mail disclosed and the page i found goes all the way back to the very first person to join.

I was wondering if they had the new version of Answerbank running so tried something and it came up wi a load of names and e-mail addresses. It took a wee while to twig what the dates and times were but I worked out it was the date and time folk had registered (you're shown as registering at 1.57 this morning)

I'll not post the address I used but it was showing new registrations within minutes of them doing that. There was a gap of several years between th previous ones and those being done on 17th and 18th April 2009. I have checked the now and it is no longer showing those two dates.

The latest one showing is from 2004 but it shows more than 30,000 names and the times of the last post which shows some are still current.

The list I seen earlier showed more than 200,000 registrations since the start of AB

I think the intrigue needs to stop TCL, and you really should tell people where this is, it seems that you are finding stuff out and as in the last two posts before me, giving people "snippets" of the stuff you have seen about them....is that fair?

Surely if you have come across this site, you aren't actually obliged to read through it all and find out user information. Shouldn't you just save the address, close the page and report in on monday morning?

I have not revealed anything about folk that would be enough for someone else to identify them. I am showing that this list reveals more than we should know about.

If I were of a mind to, I could track down kjc as I know her name now.

I will not be posting the address as there may be folk who are not as honest as I am and may use the information in a harmful way.
