"That came out of left field" or " He threw me a curve ball on that one" To not be included "Left in the bleachers" The complete package " Grand slam homer" To stand up and be counted "Step up to the plate"
Someone in reserve "Warming up in the bullpen"
Thats just some Im sure there are others what do you think?????????

Given that baseball is, effectively, played only in North America, it's almost a given that the language it will have affected most is American English. The game has no hold at all in any other English-speaking country of any great size.
As it is a much more universal sport, I'd hazard a guess that boxing has provided far more idioms - rather than clich�s - than baseball has in these places and in America.

Well, I have to say that I've never heard of:
"Left in the bleachers"
"Grand slam homer"
"Step up to the plate"
"Warming up in the bullpen"

So, as QM says, baseball expressions may be common in the US, but not elsewhere.

I don't think such phrases are ever used in the UK. They're just not in our ballpark.
