when i was a small child and lived in yorkshire my mother used to say if she was busy I am as "throng as throps wife". does anyone know the meaning of this and where did it originate?

My Granny always used to say she was throng when she was busy but I don't know who or what throp's wife was.
Don't know how true the story is but an explanation is given here.
