I have just been shopping. Came in and opened the fridge and there's a great fat spider sat in there. So now I have all the fridge food sat on the floor till my bloke comes home. Ar5e biscuits.

thankyou whiffey, good plan. No I can't pick it up with a tissue, it's huge and hairy!

OMG! How the hell did he get in there?? Ewwwwww....
Poor you! I'd be exactly the same and would have deafened the poor little thing the second I saw him! lol

Whiffeys idea is a good one tho :o)

It is big enough to hold a newspaper I reckon, though I didn't actually see one. I don't know how he got in but I'm hoping he can't get back out. I do feel a bit sorry for him, he must be chilly.
Had you already put some food in there when you noticed it? It's just that it must have got in there somehow. Just wondering if you had bought something from abroad and it was in the food you bought.

Alternatively, just have another look and check it is not the top off a tomato, made that mistake myself before.

Well I had munched some strawberries in the car and stuck them in there then sorted the bags out. I can't even think about that it may have been in there as it makes me feel a bit queasy. Luckily they are Kent strawberries so it's not a tarantula which has cheered me up a bit. I saw it move.
Oh never thought it could be that Barmaid!!! A little hitchhiker in your Bananas! Ewwww!!!

I've done the same with top off a tomato too :o)
it might be the lesser know kent stawberry tarantula, well know for lurking in fridges. i would run away now, leave it the keys and everything, just run before its to late

SOmething that would worry me more Beanmistress is that I wouldn't be able to get my wine out of the fridge, never mind putting the food in it!
Look on the bright side- least you can guarantee there's no flies in your fridge with him in there.
i took one of baby CRXs pretty dresses out of cupboard yesterday and a huge spider ran across it and up into a pleat

as i already had hold of dress i had to stick my arm and dress out of window and shake til i saw it fall.

then put dress in wash lol

I doubt it will have laid eggs. For a start, it will want a nest and I imagine it's freezing its nads off in there in any event.

figuratively speaking of course!!!!
