Answerbank is split into categories. Is there a way I could type in a username and get every reply a particular user has given - rather than have to do it category by category?

Thanks.

See immediately above your question box at the top of the page .... there's a search tool. Type the username and check SITE circle. Check the same at the bottom of the page and click on search.

The search feature on here is very moody so sometimes you strike and other times belly up. Good luck.

Thanks very much for that, figure. I had already tried it, but it just checks one category at a time (and there are a lot of categories to go through).

I was wondering if there is a search you can do, where you type in a username, and it will come up with all the answers a particular user has given throughout the whole of the site.

Thanks again for reply.
Golly!

Are you a stalker?

No Ethel.

I started to reply to a question earlier on tonight. (It was about someone whose two pet ducks had been deliberately run over). I had nearly finished my reply when I must have hit the wrong key on the keyboard, and everything just disappeared - all my typing and the question itself. I had answered it from the "Recent posts" list so I didn't notice what category it had been posted in.

I have looked through all the categories I thought it might have been in, and I can't find it at all.

Actually, I think you might be able to help me here, because if I remember correctly, you gave this person a reply. Do you remember it? Thanks.
Chappie - that question was posted in the Chatterbank forum.
I also posted a reply on there. I've searched for it but for some reason I don't see it either.
If I remember correctly the thread was in Chatterbank and contained a large number of expletives modified to bypass the automatic censor, therefore I suspect the thread was reported and pulled pending review by the Editor.

Thanks very much for replies. That will explain why I have spent a couple of hours working my way through the categories trying to find it, without success!

Ethel, hope you are okay as it is not like you to not reply.

The post I was looking for was apparently pulled and that is why I couldn't find it.
i had it saved and all i get is directed to ab homepage
The search on here is really poor.

Use google.

Type the name of the person or whatever you want to search for. Then, add

site:theanswerbank.co.uk

to the end, and click search. So you might type in:

chappie site:theanswerbank.co.uk
