Dunno, but I think it is a dialect thing, Yorkshire possibly. I remember years ago it used to be a sort of catch phrase for a black comedian called Charlie Williams.
My dad's parents used to say that, they're both from Lancashire, and lived in near Preston when I knew them.
Yes, It's a local dialect for "alright" as in "are you alright?"
It's how 'All right' sounds in a broard lancs/Yorks accent, in wigan they actually say, 'It'll be reet' meaning it will be alright.

'aw reet lad,' is a greeting, meaning, 'Are you alyight lad?'

'Is't tha reet' is a really really broard accented greeting meaning 'Is it that you are alright?'

Thas reet ya nos' means 'Thy is right you know'

'reet gradly' means 'right gradly' that means doing fine!!

yes my friends from Wigan say all reet, and we take the micky and have a laugh with them about it
