does anyone know how to get a red cabbage stain ( a whole jar full ) out of a carpet please?

Can't really tell you but I do recall seeing (in a local housewares shop) various specific stain removers, so maybe one of them might do. Other than that the only thing I would suggest is try a proper carpet cleaner, which you can hire.

I always found the "Stain Devils" really good and I have a Bissell carpet steamer which workes a treat. on my cream carpet... You can hire carpet steamers...
