Basal Crackles

I have to go for an X-Ray because I have Basal Crackles in my Lung.I omly know this because I opened letter from Doctor for Hospital. Anyone know what these are? Many Thanks for any replies.

I believe the basal region is the bottom of the lung and that basal crackles are literally noises from the bottom of the lung. I'm not a Dr and I may be wrong, but that's my belief, so if you saw bi-basal crackles, that would be noise from the bottom of both lungs, I think. hope this helps a little.
