at least he didn't misquote people. It's '...never to have loved at all'.
What is you question? If you are referring to the phrase...it goes like this "It is better to have loved and lost than not to have loved at all."

why ?
I presume, Immi, that a love affair you were involved in has been brought to an end by the loved one and you have failed to come to terms with that. You feel bitter and cannot understand Tennyson's claim.
Time is the great healer and the day will come when you will willingly fall in love once more. At that point, the 'lost love' will be seen cwould never have happened had the 'old' one not ended. Be of good cheer!
What happened there?
I meant to write..."At that point, you will see that the 'new' love could never have happened if the 'old' one had not ended."

ok, i did actually know that it ends with "at all", i didnt realise i'd written the wrong thing.

secondly, he's wrong. if you've never loved, you don't know how much it hurts.
It's like in Men In Black (that well known piece of romance and beauty lol) when Will Smiths character says that to Tommy Lee Jones, and Tommy gives him this look ad says "You try it!" aaaw poor Tommy :-(
um did that even make sense? lol
