Tv Crime Drama Character Held Hostage

Hi, a scene came into my head, but I cannot place it. Any ideas….
I think a main character, female, is being held hostage in a house - possibly art deco style? Other main character, make, comes looking, and believe finds them in store room/barn/garage. The hostage taker finds them, wounds male character and tries to escape with female hostage in car. Police arrive just in time.
Could be British or American. I know it’s probably a long shot, as this happens in many TV shows! But if anyone can help, would be appreciated! Thank you.
