"To err is human, to forgive divine". I used this expression on here yesterday(!) Now, I do err an awful lot, try to forgive, but never EVER forget. But, thru it all I do try to remain divine ;-)

What about you lot - do you make a lot of errors or do you err on the side of caution? Do you forgive & forget easily?

(btw, this is not a pointed or provocative question aimed at anyone in particular. But I must point out to any concerned parties that I am on a library computer, not my work one ....)

Prove it !!

:o)
Go back into your room young lady...the NHS needs your input.

P.S I don't understand the question ;-)
I just posted you a message on your thread yesterday!

Do I forgive and forget easily. I try to forgive, but I never forget. Forgiving is so, so hard and if people really hurt me I might think I have forgiven but I probably haven't.

How the eff an I prove it? I have a dentist appointment, so not going into work until later this morning (I am flexitime you know). So I've popped into the library cos I miss this site - well, most of you on it.

The question is sqad: do you forgive & forget easily and do you make many silly mistakes?
Never forgive, never forget
I'm pretty sure I err more than I'd want to admit. If I'm crossed I never forget, although I'm constantly forgetting other things and I don't forgive either. I may choose to let it lie but that should not be mistaken for forgiveness. I know I probably should do the forgive and forget thing but I just can't.
She's whispering so we know she's in the library jth. Sshhhhhhh!!

Why are you asking her to "prove it" any way? Are you calling her a liar?

jem
LOL

I forgive easily but I don't forget easily.....cross me and life is tough.

No.....I don't make mistakes.....once you admit to making mistakes, then you are history. People will say it takes character to admit your mistakes.....b@lls, those very same people will store them up to be used to their advantage against you.
Just check on ABers who will remind you what you said on a certain thread 18 months ago and then use it against you.......No...I don't make "silly mistakes"

Better not be jack.... or I'hh 'av ya!!

I am in the library, but how the heck do I prove that I don't know. Maybe anyone who knows where I work could ring up and ask to speak to me??!!

I have nothing to prove anyway. (And I know you're only kidding).
make silly mistakes like most people - forgive and forget? depends - with family f& f anything - with others, if the mistake was specifically done to hurt me then they are forever off my christmas card list and must step away from my person - if it was just a silly mistake then sure - why not, no-one's perfect
it all depends on what has been done, i might get angry but it doesn;t last long and i forgive/forget failry quickly. their are some instances though where i or my family/friends have been hurt then i never forget and rarely forgive
I don't forgive or forget, if it's serious enough. I do try to move on though, as I think it's unhealthy to harbour such bad feelings. they're mostly worthy of pity, which is a much better put down.

but there are still some people I could kill with my bare hands ;o)
Question Author
I couldn't kill. Not even a cat who sh@t on my lawn on frequent intervals (sorry Lotts!!)

Unless they had harmed one of my kids.... then I would be an angry tiger with her cubs and I would hurt.....
The 'irony-key' on my laptop is not functioning at the moment but I rather think the person for whom my comment was intended understood.....

Did you miss the smiley-face at the bottom of my post, Jem ?
I forget, till reminded by their presence - then its hell-fire.

Dont explain your reasons for being online - let the idiot continue with their blackmail, waste their time/postage & frustrate themselves.
No, didn't miss it

I thought you had pressed the sarcastic key.

jem
I've been known to forgive too easliy, I take after my mum in that respect, but there's certain things I won't forgive. It usually depends on the intent.
Are you American, Jem ?
They have trouble detecting irony, too...........
