who are eager to try home cooked western cuisine, I thought I would do them the traditional English breakfast, they don't need lunch, but I will do 'a High Tea' with finger sandwiches, Victoria sponge cake, little iced fancies and scones, What should I do for the evening? Steak and chips? Roast beef and Yorkshire pud? Roast leg of pork, crispy crackling and apple sauce?

Fish and Chips ?
Definitely roast beef and yorkshire pudding for me. Don't think you can get more English than that (sorry jj, not even fish and chips).
Sounds good mercia !
Served with gallons of Saki as well !

I thought of that jj, but they eat an awful lot ot fish at home - I know it's most probably raw and not in batter....

Oh no redman, served with award winning ENGLISH wine!
I'd do the roast pork. For some reason I can't see 4 Japanese business men appreciating a lovely yorkshire pud.
Which English Wines do you normally buy mercia ?
It's a long time since I drank Wine from the UK !
What % Alcohol are they ?
-- answer removed --
You could serve up some proper English cider to go with your meal.

My hubby gets through an awful lot of this!!
Just do a roast. or take them down chippy

sushi - takeout from the supermarket
It's got to be beef.
I'm sure they are nice Wines mercia but cannot find any info on how strong they are % Alcohol. I personally don't like anything less than about 12.5-13%
I've had a better idea that will save you cooking anything. Take them down the local and buy them ham, egg anc chips then get them smashed on an array of British drinks.
