Yes.
Obviously yes, as they are trained to diagnose illnesses.
I would imagine some do and some don't.

she should have stayed with Joe Cocker
I am sure for minor ailments they do, but some diagnoses would need tests by a specialist etc.
I know a GP who is a total hypochondriac with very understanding partners in his practice.
If he self diagnosed he'd be sending himself for very invasive and potentially life threatening diagnostic operations.
Thankfully he is very rational and very helpful with his patients.
that question is like asking ''how do the snowplough drivers get through the snow to get to work?''.....
Sylvia Plath's father was a doctor who diagnosed himself with cancer. Unfortunately he had diabetes and it killed him....
One of the peopIe I used to attend meetings with was a GPs wife. She said her husband refused to treat her or the family and they all had to go to another GP.
A friend of mine was a GP too Andy, he too would not treat himself or his family, they all used a neighbouring practice, although he had usually diagnosed the problem before they attended that neighbouring surgery!............very strange!...........
i always feel sorry for dentists, they have all the skill but are unable to treat themselves lol
Anyone who feels sorry for a dentist is a masochist
Probably,
However, according to Christian Jessen from "Embarassing Bodies" (yes I know he is gay,but a girl can dream)
Doctors are the worst at getting something done for the ailment (of their own) that they have already diagnosed!
I'm sure the GPs liaise with each other over diagnoses and treatment of their families Welshlibranr. I'm sure the reason is that many doctors will inevitably have emotion influencing their decision to some degree if they treat their own families. However, another GP can look at any medical problems with a cool head and not allow emotion to be a factor.
