Confused of Menorca.

When a male admits to adultery on AB, he is "tongue lashed(figuratively) and insulted.

When a female admits to adultery on AB, it is "passed over"...........".ignored"

Grumpy old goat :0) x
I reserved my opinion out of respect for redman.
No it's not....

I've seen plenty of females getting grief over in B&S.

If you're talking about Rowan...I think the impact is different when the past is being discussed. That, along with the fact her husband was gay puts a different slant on things.

No, I am not talking just about rowan, many women have, one admitted MANY affairs,a popular ABer, but not a peep.

ummmm....that is what I mean, excuses for the women.........but disgust for the men.
where sqad? who in particular
I know who you mean. Again, they were talking about the past and spoke about cheating on a partner they didn't stay with. They moved on and got married and have no intention of ever doing it to them.

You talk about cheating on your current partner...and you don't seem to care about her feelings.

Me...I couldn't give two sh1ts what anyone does in their private life.
Question Author
cazz....just a general impression, gathered over the years..........no names.

I´ve just had a thought......I could be wrong and have badly misjudged AB ;-)
Question Author
ummmm....just a point........going "straight" after adultery doesn´t wipe out the label.......one is still an adulterer/adulteress.
personally I have heard many proclamations from cheaters saying that they will never stray again and this is it, never again. but down the line, they stray again. some people are just never meant to be monogamous, but thats my personal opinion.
People reply with emotions though. If a woman has been cheated on she might find your attitude disgusting because it brings back the raw emotion.

I've been cheated on...doesn't bother me because I dumped the fools. It didn't break my heart because it showed me I was with the wrong person.

I mean cheating for cheatings sake...not cheating because of relationship problems.
obviously its subject to circumstances
Question Author
cazz.....well written answer and I do agree.....but nothing to do with the question.
It is dangerous to judge other people - at some stage all of us do something that is "wrong".

It is wrong to force our moral code or beliefs on others too.

Question Author
ummmm...the question is not about "cheating"
I know what I did was wrong by general standards...and wouldn't dream of doing it again now older and wiser..but it was a very daft incident .....i also feel that some couples can make 'accomodations' that don't affect their permanent relationships...so long as there is no emotional involvement I have friends who have done this successfully where the third party is tolerated as everything else in the relationship is good...and as one friend put it....it gives me an evening a week to myself...
Glad I haven't got any Stairs in the Flat Squad otherwise I would have to put itching Powder on the Carpet and hide the Telephone !! :-))))
I don't think so Sqad. Maybe within the relationship but in a new one. I wouldn't stay with a cheater because I don't want to live a life of niggling doubt..so I move on. Just because someone cheated in one relationship doesn't mean they will do it in the next. It depends on your partner.
well to answer you question, I did not feel inclined to berate rowan on AB in view of her fledging relationship with a fellow contributer of the thread.

maybe if her other half was not an aber, I may have commented.
Yes it is Sqad...and our attitudes towards the different sexes.
