Medical Admin Manager in the NHS, have previously ran Family Planning Clinics in the county. Have worked behind a bar - have liked them all, or else I wouldn't have stayed. I could not be in a job I hated.

I would prefer to actually be THE doctor rather than work for one, or I would like to be a paramedic or work for Medicins Sans Frontieres.

lol doc - and there, but for the wrath of some God, go I......

I am riddled with envy. x
Been in nursing SRN hospital work till I was 45 then went to work in Private nursing home till I retired. Loved every minute of it .Still did part time work after I retired when short staffed. And would you believe it when I worked at the General Hospital in Notingham as it was called years ago I may have crossed paths with Squad as he worked in the ENT.about same time I was there.
wendilla...we may have "necked" at a hospital party...LOL

I had a flat opposite the Private Wing in the Ropeway, I think it was called and if one put out the light in the toilet, opened the curtains and then, at night one could see all over Nottingham.

The loo with a view I suppose.
I did 30yrs as an electrician in mining, rising from apprentice to Shift Charge Engineer and all though the working conditions were often to put it politely a bit rough, I can honestly say that through the good times and the bad I've never know better work mates then your average Pit Rat. After that spent 10yrs in the food industry at a cake factory (the boss always refered to that as The Cake Mine) and then at an egg packing site before a stroke ended my working days. The last two jobs were ok but if I'm honest they were only ever beer money jobs
Squad, while you were living on the Ropewalk, did you ever use use the "Trip" not far from the Ropewalk and reputed to be the oldest pub in England, back in the 60's it was the starting point for many a memorable night out
Paddy...thanks...the Ropewalk not the Ropeway.

No I never did use that pub, to my utter shame, I was never a beer drinker.
Hi Squad are you sure it was a view over Nottingham and not the nursing quarters.? Glad I didn't live in .lol
I would have liked to have been a Gigolo like Squad, instead I have to manage this sheep Farm in Wales with my wife Bo Peep ! :-)
I was a Planning & Design Manager in BT Global Services..........I would have liked to have been a librarian in a reference library, not a lending library.
