Can one take the driving test wearing a cap?

If I took my Test now, I would probably take it in the MGF (because it's small).

I would have the roof down, to aid rear visibility (as the MGF has no Reversing Camera).

I would therefore possibly want to wear a cap ... my dark red, floppy one would go quite well with the grey metallic bodywork.
