I am a big fan of period romace novels..In 2005 I read a book about a women with a scorned lover (who was to be married) they eventually find their way back to each other. There was to be another book in the series that was about the women he was supposed to marry. The lady had a limp and had been jilted twice. The lady fell out a tree into the gentlemans arms and this where the excerpts from the previous book ended. The gentleman in the new book iis the best friend of the scorned lover in the first book. I am looking for the title of the second book . Can you please answer if you can locate this book or the author?
