Oh! dear, Oh! dear here we go again we are offending someone else once again. Where will it all end? No more cracks about Liverpool people and one's car wheels, no more jokes about ginger haired people, fat people, dumb blondes, old people, mother in laws etc etc.

Not just "Is Britain losing it's sense of humour"?

More like "will Britain be FORCED into losing it's sense of humour"?

There was this, Muslim English man, Roman Catholic Irish man and Black Scotsman -----------------------------

Not got the same ring to it somehow, ah well !!

I agree. There's way too much self-censorship on TV these days.

Will we lose our sense of humour as a result? I doubt it.
I think the new Ed's sense of humour is not far removed from that of the Filipino protestors.
Speaking of removed................................
My guess is that the sketches weren't funny enough. I mean, check out the last series of Little Britain (the character of Ting Tong, the Thai bride (with a little secret).

That series of sketches was dead funny, and hugely un-PC.

I remember when Harry Enfield used to be cutting edge and funny. Now his shows are sent to the graveyard shift on telly.

However, we'll never know whether the Harry Enfield sketch was actually any good.
maybe the British themselves are throwing it away without being forced to?

The British Sense of Humour is in fine health and its appeal has never been as broad. Just look in the Jokes section and you will find very many un-PC jokes. These are in wide circulation and are largely uncensored.

During development of any comedy programme you will get ideas that are thrown out. It was probably a close call, but a paedophile muslim cleric was judged an extremely thin seam of humour.
jno,

Would a scottish character refer to Glasgow Rangers? My assumption would be that they would say either Rangers or Celtic, just as us Mancunians say City or United, dropping the place name.
Very soon the President of the USA will be black. Possibly that will put an end to the eternal are blacks superior to whites etc etc. The case will finally have been proven, and all modern industry will move to Chad and Jamaica.
Gromit,

They'd be wrong if they did say Glasgow Rangers. The clubs are Rangers FC and Celtic FC.

See also 'Inter Milan'.

:-)
he might if he was talking to foreigners, Gromit
What is going to happen to George W Bush, sod_the_m25?

Is he going to black up to take part in one of the West Country's "Darkie Days". Or is he going to be blown up?
GWB will sit in the corner and pick his nose.

I really seriously want to see a society where black and ethnic minority people have been placed in all the top positions. I mean - what happens next? Nothing left to whinge about. President of the USA, it doesn't get a lot better than that.

Quite how anyone who reads the Daily Mail can accuse anyone of losing their sense of humour is beyond me. I've never met a worse bunch of pious, miserable, moaning halfwits in all my life.
And Harry Enfield is about as funny as a proper knifecriming in the face.
Where is the sense of humour in sex crazed Muslims Paedophile priests! Nothing to do with Britain losing its sense of humour these sketches etc aren't funny!
The great thing about being at home in the evening is that you can shout at the tv/newspapers as much as you like whenever any minority is seen/reported about. No-one can do diddly about that and I make full use of that freedom.

The problem with this country is that there are too many minority groups that make up the majority.
"The great thing about being at home in the evening is that you can shout at the tv/newspapers"

Like a confused dog barking at the hoover.
