I have dyed my hair blonde at home a number of times but it always has an orange tinge. What type of hair dye should I get. I always buy an extra light blonde or light blonde and I don't want the oragen or gingery tinge??

put a dark blonde dye in your hair then a week later put an ash blonde in this should stop the orange tinge
I have the perfect answer! this has happend to me,on more then one occasion. You will want to pick a medium ash blonde color. ASH...got that? Ash colors counteracts red/orangey tones.Just never use ash if your hair is banana blonde,it will turn out green.
If you live in a town or city ask around salons (god ones preferably) and put your name down as a model. They'll do whatever colour you way for half nothing or even for free for training purposes. You can even get cuts and regular blowdries for free too. Most salons do training nights and they're all supervised so you'll have nothing to worry about. You get your colour done by someone who knows exactly what to use for a fraction of the cost!
