Yes I do enjoy football but certainly do not let it enter too much in to my life.

Re my attached link which is all over the sports news, this Argie diego wap greasy spick says he has done nothing wrong.

Well if you watch the footage he is seen mouthing the word "f**k" numerous times in its many meanings and behaves like a spoilt child when sent off.

I imagine he is on 50 grand plus a week and as this was a high profile game shown live to millions via Sky Sports, so why is he complaining so much?

Should footballers be more severley punished for their on-field antics?

Should this Mascherano (Sp?) fellow be tortured, or at least forced to wash the greas off his skin?

This has been edited to make him look worse than he was. I do think mascherano was fired up a bit too much for the game, but he was most certainly not the only player on that pitch to use the f-word! His beahviour at getting sent off was indeed childish, but he felt he had been unfairly punished and so reacted to that.
He is not the only player in the world to behave like this and I can't understand why he has been singled out so much. He has apologised to his team mates and the fans and has explained he was asking the ref a question. This is why he reacted as he did for being shown a red card.
The story is dragging out for no reason, players will not show ref's respect and making an example of one player for every 200 isn't going to make any difference.

mistys. As I said I do enjoy football, but I suppose I am coming from a rugby angle, where this kind of behaviour simply does not happen.

Rugby is no longer merely for the middle classes, so that argument holds no weight.

For 50k per week, I would just let bygones be bygones!!

I agree, football could learn a lot from rugby! The respect simply isn't there, and I can't see it ever being there.
He should let it drop, but until the media do then I would want to try and protect my name too. It's all an over the top mess, once again the FA have ballsed it all up.
