How do you clean black glass

What is the best way to clean black glass without leaving smears etc? I have a black glass tv unit and I just cannot get it to shine! I have tried everything, vinegar and water, window cleaner, all sorts but it just always looks horrible, dirty and streaky!!! Someone help me, it's driving me crazy!!!!

Have you tried an e-cloth, they are brilliant on glass, alittle water on the edge of the cloth anddry it with the dyy end....no smears anywhere, they are about �7 for 2, ebay sell them, waitrose,

Methylated spirit might be good too. I used to use it on glass shelves and there were never smears.

clean with a damp cloth then buff up with a micro fibre cloth works fine for me.

I use news paper to clean my mirrors and tv. Just spray a bit of water or glass cleaner and use newspaper to clean and shine. It does an excellent job. Try it, you have nothing to lose.

I clean Ovens for a living and some of them have either black or a smoke glass.
I use WD40 and it comes up a treat.

'Turtlewax clear-vue glass polish'

You can get it from car accessory shops and is brilliant, goes on like windowlene but dries after a few secs to a dry white powder which wipes off really easily and leaves no marks.
