i was chatting to a lady at work today, we were actually talking about the Wigan casino, dean parrish is in the town tomorrow at an anniversary do. anyway, i asked her what was the first record she had bought, and she said Adam faith, then we got talking, and she was in the beatles fan club from the first week it started, and as she worked for british rail back then she was able to go to all the beatles gigs and all the fan club meetings and she said the four were always at the fan club meetings and she met them loads of times and they knew their fan club members by their names, she got upset then and managed to tell me john was her favourite but she couldn;t carry on talking about it. She said she had blocked alot of the memories out as it was too painful. I was very moved by that, what say you? That's a hell of a memory to have.

Its the Adam Faith bit that got me. That was the first record I ever bought. It was *What do you want* and I bought it as a present for my sister.
Wonder if she believed deep inside that the group would go on to be such univerally known super stars.
As for Adam Faith.Funnily enough ,we went to Chorley yesterday and I picked up, "The Time Has Come" single from a charity shop
How fab.I would love to have been around in those days.I like the Liverpool sound of the 60`s.Im smitten with Billy J Kramer.
I can well understand how this lady felt. I was born in 1958 and I was madly in love with George Harrison when I was 5. The Beatles music will live on forever, passed down from generation to generation. My nephews are in a Beatles tribute band and they werent even born when The Beatles were around. Also the range of ages of people who come to see them perform is huge.
I love Liverpool and have been for a few days every summer for the past 4 yrs. I feel as tho the atmosphere invades my personality and makes me become a bit Liverpudlian whilst I'm there and saddened when I leave. Elaine x
