Hi, I'm thinking of having acrylic nails done before going on holiday. Does anyone know if these nail bars are safe. Also, not being used to long nails - do people find they get in the way after a few days.

Any thoughts?

Hi i have had acrylic nails for years it is best to pay around 25.00 upwards for a full set as some places charge less but they use cheap products which ruin your nails. do not pay anymore than about 36.00 though for a set.
I personally would say have fibreglass nails as they look similar but more natural and they do not ruin your natural nail bed as they use resin not glue.
hope this helps
I am having gel nails tomorrow ready for my hols, they are more flexible and can look very feminine and natural, pretty much the same price too.
Yes Gel nails are so much better for your nails. I had some silk ones on months ago and honestly my nails have been terrible ever since. Years ago i had the gel ones and my nails were always in ok condition after removing them. I would really recommend the gel ones, they look more natural and will last longer.
I would get your nails done a few days before you go on hoilday as they do take some getting used to.
The last thing you want is to be trying to pack and trying to get used to them at the same time.
Also they will need to be redone after around two weeks, so make sure that it wont interfere with your holiday plans.
