The song is "I Am A Mole And I Live In A Hole", originally by the Southlanders, though also recorded in the early 70s by a group calling themselves The Moles (actually Simon Dupree and the Big Sound, better known for the psychedelic classic "Kites") and latterly performed by a billion kids' TV presenters.

Now trying to get lyrics, but none of the sites have this one
The son if the original Southlanders vocalist who did the distinctive line - is entertainer Gary Wilmott.

Why do I know this sort of stuff?????????????????
it might have been called "hoots mon " by "bee bumble and the stingers" !!!
sorry wrong ..its not "bee bumble"
'Hoots Mon' was by Lord Rockingham's XI - you are thinking of 'Nut Rocker' by B Bumble.
