Are there any other ABers out there who have or have had at some point in their lives the above illnesses. How are you doing now? Are you still suffering? Medication taken if any? What help did you receive if any?

I had the post viral thing after getting pnuemonia and took a while to get over and still get knocked if I come down with something bad.

My cousin has ME and epilepsy and has been struggling to get through school and college having to miss years and such. She's determined that she wants to get to uni so is currently trying to get through A Levels but has to have a lot of time off and has collapsed quite a few times in public and still has some fits and it's been very hard going for her.
hi there, i suffered from ME after having glandular fever when i was 18. i'm now 22 and still suffer slightly but not to the extent that a lot of people do, which i feel lucky for. it took a long time for the doctor to admit i had ME. they did checks for thyroid, liver function, etc. i find that alcohol makes it worse, and not just as a hangover ;) xx

I had glandular fever in 2005 when I was 26, I also developed liver inflammation and jaundice (hepatitis) because of the glandular fever. I never really properly recovered from the glandular fever and my Doctor diagnosed me with Post Viral Fatigue Syndrome pretty quickly, which makes me lucky!! I recently started a new job although I only do 14 hours per week, which is plenty for me at the moment as I still suffer fatigue.
