i didnt get a show at all but then I had 3 doses of prostin and then had my waters broken to induce at 42.5 weeks. I had got to 3cms by 41 weeks though so I suppose i would have got a show at that point.
I know lots of women that went into labour naturally without a show so i cant be something that happens all the time.
Good Luck, hope this is the start.
i didnt have a show just got the labour pains, when i went in they had to break my waters for me i was nearly 5cms i hope all goes well and soon youll be telling us youve had the baby take care xx

TO THE GIRLS ABOVE ME: thanks alot for that info the pain eventualy faded DAM braxton hicks i heard that getting induced means the pain is more severe was it for you girls
Out of four pregnancies I have had just one show ~ and that happened just minutes before the onset of labour.

Usually, a show indicates that the birth can be anything from hours, days or a couple of weeks away :o)
i cant tell you if the pain was any worse being induced as it was my first. I had contractions (painless and doing nothing, not BHs tho) for 3 weeks. Went into maternity unit at 42 weeks, had 3 lots of prostin which did nothing. The docs didnt want to give me more because of the contrtactions and didnt want to over stimulate me. I then had waters broken at 42+3 and was warned i made need syntocin drip (that is meant to cause very painful contractions).
I started contracting normally within the hour and 6 hours after that i gave birth. I managed without pain relief so maybe it wasnt as bad as it could have been.
They say BHs get worse with each susequent pregnancy so i hope they start to progress to the real thing soon for you
