Can anyone recommend a good chinese restaurant in the South Manchetsre area? Ideally not too expensive but nice enough to celebrate my birthday in style!

Easy, The Bejing in Poynton speak to Andy or Wings in Cheadle Hulme ( popular with MUFC players )or the Summer Palace near The Fiveways all excellent.

Peking Garden in Bramhall (above Beluga) is excellent especially if you like a bit of spice, but not the prettiest restaurant around! I agree about Wings and Summer Palace, but I thought the Beijing a bit unimaginative. Rainbow 88 in Cheadle Hulme is also quite nice.
