Hi,
Can't buy them anywhere. Can I use powder as a substitute?

The taste is completely different. I think you're referring to methi leaves, which can be bought at any Asian/Caribbean shop. Curry powder can taste of anything, really, as it's just a mixture of different 'curry' spices. A good supermarket also should have them. If you do mean methi leaves, the taste is superb and I can think of nothing else that compares. They can lift the most boring curry and make it taste special. Methi leaves, by the way, are the leaves of the fenugreek plant, and taste different to the seeds.
Sorry, i'm assuming you meant curry powder rather than powdered curry leaves? Didn't mean to sound patronising if that's the case!

That's really helpful. I will carry on searching :)

They should be available in most Asian supermarkets,if not the fresh leaves, then the dried version
I live in Bolton,so out of curiousity I checked this site. http://www.memsaab.co.uk/index.htm .Says they sell em here as part of a starter pack. Possibly somewhere near you with a similar variety
You might find them labelled 'Kari' leaves, and as R&R says, they should be available in any Indian grocer's or supermarket.
Sainsbury's used to do them. I haven't bought any for a while, so check it out. You may be able to look at their online shopping site to see if it's listed as available.
